MetLife has won two prestigious awards at the 9th Insurance Asia Awards 2024 held in Singapore, recognizing the excellence of its One Buy MetLife app.
MetLife’s One Buy App Wins
The app received accolades in two highly competitive categories: Digital Insurance Initiative of the Year – Nepal and Marketing Initiative of the Year – Nepal. These awards reflect MetLife’s commitment to innovation, customer-centric services, and marketing excellence in Nepal.
Nirmalkaji Shrestha, General Manager of MetLife Nepal, Ankit Rajbhandari, Head of Marketing and Communication, and other members of MetLife’s regional team were present at the event to accept the awards.
The Insurance Asia Awards honor insurance companies that have made a significant impact on their customers through innovative products, services, and solutions. This year’s panel of jury members included industry experts from various companies in the Asia Pacific region.

Launched in September 2023, One Buy MetLife won the Digital Insurance Initiative of the Year – Nepal Award for seamlessly integrating insurance and high-quality healthcare services on a user-friendly platform.
This app provides comprehensive 360-degree health services for the first time in Nepal, making it easier for customers to access healthcare services. A standout feature is its AI-powered health assessment tool, which offers personalized health reports through facial scans, setting it apart in the market.
MetLife Nepal’s integrated marketing campaign for the app’s launch won the Marketing Initiative of the Year – Nepal Award. The campaign utilized both traditional and digital marketing tools to gain widespread adoption and recognition of the app in the Nepali market.
The app’s popularity soared, resulting in over 150,000 downloads and 45,000 registrations, with more than 4-star ratings on both Google Play Store and iOS App Store, and ranking as the 9th most popular financial services app in Nepal on Google Play Store.
