Rajiv Kumar, Managing Director and President of Microsoft IDC, highlighted the impact of this initiative: “This proposed facility will attract top talent from India and the world and empower them to innovate across AI, cloud, and security.” This statement underscores Microsoft’s commitment to fostering talent and accelerating digital transformation in India.
With a $3 billion investment in AI and cloud infrastructure, Microsoft aims to upskill 10 million Indians by 2030. So far, 860,000 youth have already benefited from its training initiatives. The company is also collaborating with IndiaAI, SaaSBoomi, and various startups to establish AI Centers of Excellence and strengthen India’s SaaS ecosystem.
