Recently, Basanta Kumar Nemwang was given the responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Basanta Kumar Nemwang has said that it is necessary to make the field of information technology systematic.
Assuming his responsibilities at the ministry on Friday, Minister Nemwang said that necessary regulation should be made by making the field of information and communication technology systematic.
He also said that communication services should be extended to remote areas, and the communication work started by the government should be completed. Minister Nemwang stressed the need to disseminate accurate information to the citizens.
“We need to bring technologies down in a systematic way,” he said. Telephone and information services need to be properly disseminated and managed. It needs to be regulated.
It is important to communicate the right information to the citizens. It is equally important to regulate it. It is important to extend our communication services to remote areas. It is important to complete the Digital Nepal Framework in one package. ‘
Minister Nemwang also said that the campaign to bring peace, security to the people, manage the people’s livelihoods and rights, and transform the country into a high-class citizen by making it information technology friendly would not be left upside down.
He said that it would be helpful to remove the obstacles that may come in the way of technology-friendly public service delivery.
Minister Nemwang has assumed the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Urban Development, and Drinking Water today.
Nemwang had assumed the responsibility of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure in December 2076 BS. In the meantime, he had been in charge of the Ministry of Urban Development for about seven months.
On occasion, Communications Secretary Hari Prasad Basyal informed that a committee had been formed at the secretary level to formulate integrated communication and information technology policy to make the overall communication and information technology sector more effective and systematic.
