Nepal Telecom has issued an alert urging the public to remain vigilant against fake news spreading through social media using the company’s official logo.
Misuse of Nepal Telecom’s Logo
According to a press release, false claims such as “Nepal Telecom is offering NPR 5,000 cash and gifts on Christmas and New Year” are circulated via Facebook groups and Messenger.
Nepal Telecom clarified that such information is fake and advised users to rely solely on the company’s verified sources, including its blue-tick Facebook page, X (Twitter), and official website.
