Miteri Development Bank Reports 8.98% Growth In Net Profit For Fiscal Year 2082/83

Miteri Development Bank Limited has published its fourth quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2082/83, posting an 8.98% year on year increase in net profit.

The growth in earnings was primarily supported by a sharp rise in net interest income alongside a drop in interest expenses.
Strong Operational Performance And Income Growth
According to the financial report, the bank earned a net profit of Rs 141.2 million for the review period, compared to Rs 129.5 million reported in the previous fiscal year.
The core revenue driver, net interest income, surged by 50.30% to reach Rs 307.4 million. This expansion was driven by lower interest expenses and a reduced cost of funds. Additionally, the operating profit of the bank improved to Rs 201.7 million, up from Rs 185.7 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Distributable Profit And Dividend Capacity
As of the end of Asar 2083, Miteri Development Bank reported a distributable profit of Rs 154.87 million.
Based on its total paid up capital of Rs 1.217 billion, the bank has maintained an estimated dividend capacity of up to 12.73%. Any proposed dividend distribution will remain subject to regulatory approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and endorsement at the bank’s upcoming Annual General Meeting.
Asset Quality And Key Financial Indicators
The bank demonstrated steady management of asset quality over the fiscal year, with its non performing loan ratio improving to 0.26% from 0.28% in the previous year.
Key financial metrics reported by Miteri Development Bank at the end of FY 2082/83 include:
- Earnings per share increased to Rs 11.60.
- Net worth per share reached Rs 143.20.
- Capital adequacy ratio stood healthy at 25.75%.
