Mountain Energy Nepal Reports 29 Percent Rise in Net Profit and Strong Revenue Growth

Mountain Energy Nepal Limited has reported significant financial growth in its unaudited fourth quarter financial report for the last fiscal year.

The hydropower developer recorded notable improvements across core operational metrics, including net profit, electricity sales revenue, and earnings per share.
The strong fiscal results were driven primarily by continuous electricity generation and operational stability from the active power plants managed by the company.
Substantial Growth in Net Profit and Power Generation Revenue
During the fourth quarter review period, Mountain Energy posted a net profit of 797.04 million Nepali Rupees.
This represents a 29 percent surge compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, when net profit stood at 617.40 million Nepali Rupees.
Alongside bottom line earnings, the company registered healthy top line growth from its primary core operations.
Revenue generated from electricity sales grew by 17.31 percent, expanding from 1.307 billion Nepali Rupees in the prior fiscal year to 1.533 billion Nepali Rupees in the review period.
Capital Expansion Reserves and Per Share Financial Indicators
Mountain Energy Nepal expanded its equity base through bonus share allocations and retained earnings:
Paid Up Capital: The paid up capital of the company increased by 20 percent, expanding from 2.603 billion Nepali Rupees to 3.123 billion Nepali Rupees.
Reserve Fund: Accompanying the capital expansion, the total reserve fund grew to 1.586 billion Nepali Rupees.
Earnings Per Share: The earnings per share of the hydropower developer improved from 23.72 Nepali Rupees to 25.52 Nepali Rupees per share.
Net Worth and P E Valuation: The company reported a net worth per share of 150.78 Nepali Rupees, while the price to earnings ratio stood at 22.29 times.
Operational Projects and Power Generation Capacity
Mountain Energy Nepal Limited currently derives commercial revenue from two fully operational hydroelectric assets:
Tadi Khola Hydropower Project: A 5 Megawatt operational power plant situated along the Tadi River.
Mistri Khola Hydropower Project: A 42 Megawatt high capacity hydroelectric installation operating in Mustang District.
The combined generation capacity of 47 Megawatts continues to provide a consistent cash flow foundation for the company as it advances expanding commercial projects.
