This year’s NADA Auto Show has been remarkable in many ways. Ten new brands made their debut in the Nepali market, opening bookings exclusively through the auto show. The competition among new brands and models has been intense, with notable rivalry in terms of pricing, features, and design. Among the most popular choices, Dongfeng Nami and Tata Punch have left a strong impression on consumers.
According to MAW Vriddhi, the official distributor of Nami, the hatchback model has received 443 bookings over the five days. Priced between NPR 2,999,000 and NPR 3,499,000, the attractive design of the Nami hatchback seems to have captivated many potential buyers.
Similarly, Sipradi Trading, the official distributor for Tata, reported that the Tata Punch EV has garnered around 450 bookings during the auto show. “We had 328 bookings in the first four days. The final day’s numbers are yet to be fully tallied, but we estimate it to have surpassed 450 units,” said a company source.
The Tata Punch EV, available with a sunroof, is currently the most affordable electric SUV with this feature. Tata’s first EV built on a dedicated platform, the Punch EV is priced between NPR 3,399,000 and NPR 3,899,000, adding to its appeal among buyers.
