NAS-IT Launches New Courses

The courses, DevOps Fundamentals and Mastering Web Application Development were developed with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Trade and Competitiveness project.

NAS-IT has partnered with TechAxis and the Presidential Graduate School to implement these courses. Tech Axis will be responsible for delivering the Mastering Web Application Development program, while Presidential Business School will focus on the DevOps Fundamentals course. Both institutions will also play a crucial role in promoting these courses to potential participants.

The DevOps Fundamentals course is tailored for final-year students, providing them with practical DevOps skills which include proficiency in automation, continuous integration, deployment, and collaboration between development and operations teams, which are essential for ensuring efficient, fast, and reliable software delivery. By understanding DevOps principles and methodologies, students will be well-prepared to contribute to modern software development teams.

The Mastering Web Application Development course is designed to upskill IT professionals in web application development. Participants will learn advanced techniques, best practices, and industry trends to create robust and scalable web applications.

“NAS-IT is committed to fostering workforce development and bridging the gap between academia and industry,” said Kailash Raj Bijayananda, Executive Member at NAS-IT. “These courses are a testament to our dedication to equipping IT professionals with the essential skills to thrive in today’s technology-driven world. We believe these programs will significantly contribute to the growth and development of the IT industry in Nepal.”

The launch event was held at the Hotel Soaltee, Kathmandu, and brought together representatives from NAS-IT, USAID, academia, and the IT industry. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the courses and how they can strengthen the IT workforce.
