National Life Insurance Concludes Chairperson Club Program
10th November 2025, Kathmandu
National Life Insurance Company Limited achieved a significant milestone in its commitment to agent excellence by successfully concluding its three-day “Chairperson Club, Training, and Honor Program.”
National Life Chairperson Club Program
Held under the prestigious theme of “Elite Leaders Conclave” at the Hotel Royal Tulip in Lalitpur, the event brought together the company’s top-performing agents for recognition, professional development, and strategic alignment. A total of 526 insurance agents who achieved their ambitious targets for the fiscal year 2081/82 (2024/25) were inducted into the exclusive Chairperson Club, celebrating their dedication and hard work that underpins the company’s success in Nepal’s highly competitive insurance industry.
Recognition and Motivation: The Chairperson Club Induction
The highlight of the conclave was the honoring ceremony, conducted in the presence of Chairperson Prema Rajya Laxmi Singh. The induction of 526 agents into the Chairperson Club is more than just a title; it is a recognition of sustained high performance, professionalism, and commitment to the company’s goals.
Chairperson Singh offered heartfelt congratulations to all the agents, emphasizing that their membership was earned through sheer “dedication and hard work.” She stressed the crucial role agents play in the company’s market standing, expressing National Life’s continued commitment to prioritizing the professional development of its agent network. By continually investing in its agents, the company aims to solidify its position and market leadership.
Further acknowledgment was given to the most outstanding performers. Seven top-performing agents from across Nepal received special recognition, awarded with certificates and substantial cash prizes for their exceptional results in both personal business performance and network growth. These awards serve as a powerful motivational tool, setting high benchmarks for the entire agency force and publicly valuing the direct impact of individual excellence on the company’s overall strength.
Strategic Training for a Modern Financial Landscape
Recognizing that success requires continuous learning, National Life Insurance integrated two crucial training sessions into the three-day program, focusing on both leadership competence and essential regulatory compliance.
Enhancing Professional Competence and Leadership
The agents benefited from an impactful training session delivered by renowned motivational speaker and former banker Anil Keshari Shah. Shah’s session focused intently on enhancing professional competence and leadership skills among the agents. He emphasized a powerful message: success in any profession is intrinsically linked to developing the ability to lead and take responsibility within one’s field. For insurance agents, this translates to taking ownership of client relationships, understanding complex financial products, and acting as trusted advisors—all hallmarks of genuine professional leadership. This training aims to transform sales agents into self-driven, responsible business leaders.
Focus on AML and CFT Compliance
In a critical session underscoring the serious regulatory environment, Deputy Director Padam Prasad Sodari from the Insurance Board of Nepal (IBN) provided essential training on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT). This training is mandatory and vital, particularly for insurance agents who deal directly with large financial transactions.
Sodari highlighted the severe potential national and international impacts of financial crimes and meticulously explained the preventive measures agents should adopt. For National Life, ensuring its large agent network is fully compliant with AML/CFT guidelines is a strategic imperative. It protects the company from legal repercussions, maintains its international financial reputation, and upholds the integrity of Nepal’s financial sector. This session reinforced the agents’ role as gatekeepers against financial crime, adding a layer of ethical responsibility to their professional duties.
National Life’s Exemplary Performance and Future Vision
CEO Suresh Prasad Khatri provided a powerful summation of the company’s standing, assuring the elite agents that they are representing a market leader. Khatri proudly highlighted that National Life’s overall performance, including its attractive bonus rates and strong business structure, remains exemplary. These factors are critical to agent success, as high bonus rates make policies more competitive and easier to sell.
The CEO articulated a clear forward-looking strategy, stating that the company aims to further invest in enhancing its agent network. The goal is to ensure greater professionalism and efficiency, which will be achieved through continuous training, better technology support, and motivational programs like the Chairperson Club. The company views its agent network not merely as a distribution channel but as a core competitive advantage that requires strategic nurturing and investment.
The “Elite Leaders Conclave” concluded with entertainment performances, providing a fitting close to the intense training and recognition schedule. The honored business leaders left the event expressing a renewed sense of pride and gratitude, confirming that the recognition received reflected the genuine value the company places on their commitment and hard work. The success of the program firmly establishes National Life Insurance’s dedication to empowering its sales force as a foundation for its enduring success in the Nepali insurance landscape.
