Overview & Background

In a landmark initiative for the tech community in Western Nepal, students from Lumbini City College, located in Tilottama, Rupandehi, have announced the first national-level 48-hour ‘LumbiniX’ Hackathon. The event is set to take place from Shrawan 23 to 25.

During an official press conference, Vice Principal Narayan Prasad Bhusal highlighted that this hackathon will play a vital role in encouraging research, creativity, and innovation among students while bridging the gap between Lumbini’s cultural significance and modern technology.

Selection Process & Competition Rules

The organizing committee received 118 applications from high schools, +2 institutions, and undergraduate students across Nepal.

Top 10 Finalists: Selected based on project novelty, team dynamics, and technical feasibility.

Participation Fee: Shortlisted teams pay a nominal commitment fee of NPR 3,500 per team.

Unannounced Theme for Fair Play: To maintain complete fairness and eliminate pre-built projects, the core problem statement will be disclosed only 24 hours prior to the competition start.
