Financial Fraud through cybercrime is an escalating threat in the Banking and Financial Industry. Nepalese Banking Industry has experienced the various scale of cyber frauds, and organizations must have a clear understanding of the danger.

Financial Fraud can emanate from various sources. On an almost daily basis, users of the Internet are warned about the latest hacking or infectious spyware incident perpetrated by criminals who are seeking to profit illegally by obtaining financial information and identity. Hence, with this ever-changing threat environment, the banking industry is vulnerable to cyber financial crimes.

With the recent ATM heist, cyber fraud and prevention measures have been a significant concern to Nepalese Banking. In understanding the upcoming challenges on how cyber financial crime can be detected, prevented, monitored, and reported; National Banking Institute Ltd. announces a conference on “Preventing Cyber Financial Fraud.”

Speaker Profile: Mr. Dawood Haddadi, AVP Delivery Operations at Infrastructure Security at Paladion Networks Pvt. Ltd., India 

Mr. Haddadi heads Paladion’s Breach Response Team, where he leads a top-notch team of Incident Investigators and First Responders. He has more than one decade of working in the Information Security industry – out of which he has spent 11 years at Paladion. Paladion is a leading global company providing Cyber Threat Combat Solutions and has been working with leading banks, regulators, amongst others, globally. Similarly, Mr. Dawood has worked with leading Enterprises across domains such as BFSI, Manufacturing, and Aviation.

Speaker Profile: Mr. Krishna Sastry Pendyala, Executive Director at Cyber Security, PwC, India. 

Sastry is globally noted Forensic Expert for Cyber Financial Crime. He is working as Executive Director, Advisory, Forensic Technology Services, PwC India. He is also the permanent member of RBI’s Cyber Security Standing Committee which has drafted RBIs Cyber Security Policy. Sastry has advised the Banking industry, Central Banks, Financial Regulators, Law enforcement agencies as well as Interpol. Besides, Mr. Sastry worked for 3.5 years with Tata Consultancy Services as Global Head, Fraud Management & Digital Forensics. He worked 23 years with Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India as Forensic Scientist and handled a large number of Cyber Investigations of national and international importance.
