As a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, expressing commitment to support paralympic players with their overall training and development, Ncell signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NPC marking the 18th anniversary of Ncell with the theme ‘Here for You’.

“I’m on cloud nine! It feels like just yesterday I embarked on my taekwondo journey, completely unaware that I would reach such incredible heights in the Paralympics and secure the first-ever medal for my country. I once dared to dream and took a chance to make a difference, and I’m so grateful I did. I never lost faith in myself and fought tirelessly to keep that dream alive.

It’s truly amazing, and I couldn’t be happier! This medal is not mine but for my country. I feel blessed to be representing Nepal and bringing home the historic prize,” said Palesha Goverdhan, sharing the excitement of her exciting win.

“Throughout this journey, I encountered many incredible individuals, each of whom contributed significantly to my success. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my family, all the coaches from the National Taekwondo Association and NPCs, my sponsors, and my friends. A special shoutout to Ncell, who has been like family since the Asian Para Games. Thank you for your unwavering belief in me and for supporting me at every turn. I look forward to embarking on a new chapter together.”

Excited by the achievement that Nepal has achieved at the Paris Paralympics, Jabbor Kayumov, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) of Ncell said, “We are deeply honored and overjoyed by Palesha’s historic victory.

She is our national pride and a true testament to the Champion.  This achievement for Nepal and Nepali in the global arena has magnificently showcased the valor of Nepal’s para-athletes. Palesha and our para-athletes have inspired all of us. We are committed to working towards becoming a strong foundation for inspiring and encouraging our para-athletes.”

Since last year, under the collaboration of Ncell and NPC, para players have been getting annual training, development, and participation at the national and international games under different portfolios of games. Ncell remains committed to extending support to NPC for further strengthening this collaboration.
