Ncell Golf Tournament

Ncell Open Golf Tournament held at the Gokarna Forest Resort on 8th & 9th December 2023 concluded on Saturday successfully. The event attracted total 143 participants.

The 2-day tournament, hosted by Ncell at the Gokarna Golf Course brought together an avid group of golfers and enthusiasts making it a memorable event.

Babu Sherpa won the title of the Ncell Open Golf Tournament. Playing with six handicap Sherpa accumulated 42 stable ford points to win the trophy and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 phone.

Pradip KC was runner-up on the count back after he and Swadesh Gurung were tied with 41 points. KC scored 23 points on the back nine against 20 of Gurung. KC bagged Trophy and Air ticket to Dubai on Fly Dubai.

Sadbhav Acharya won the best gross with 39 gross points and got trophy and Samsung Galaxy z Flip. He also won the longest drive award.

Tara Karki Chitrakar got ladies winner award with 38 points. She got a trophy and air ticket to Dubai on Fly Dubai. Gita Gurung was runner-up among ladies with 32 points.

Rabindra Purush Dhakal was the winner among seniors (age 60 and above), scoring 37 points.

Gyan Bahadur Dhenga won the closest to the pin award by hitting it eight inches to the pin and Norbu Tshiring Sherpa won the most birdies award with six birdies.

This tournament was played under stableford format with 3/4 handicap.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) of Ncell, Jabbor Kayumov, and Captain of Gokarna Golf Club among others gave away the prizes to the winners of the tournament.

This tournament has successfully raised Rs. 286,000 from the registration. The proceeds collected will be matched by Ncell and contributed towards reconstruction initiatives in Jajarkot and west Rukum damaged due to the recent earthquake in the Karnali Province.

Ncell Open Golf Tournament was supported by Samsung Nepal, Fly Dubai and Fly Dubai holidays, The Terraces Resort and Spa, Dusit Princess, Coca-Cola Beverages Nepal. Ncell will be organising this golfing-tournament on a bi-annual basis.
