Ncell is honoring women in ICT with the ‘Ncell Woman ICON Award 2023,’ who has made significant contributions to the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector of Nepal.

This year, there were 34 nominations for this award, and 7 women achievers have been shortlisted for this recognition for their remarkable contributions in the sector. The award will be presented at the grand finale event of the InDrive ICT Awards 2023 at The Soaltee Kathmandu on Friday.

Every year, the ICT Award is awarded by ICT Foundation Nepal and Living with ICT to individuals, innovation, and organizations for outstanding achievements and excellence in the field of ICT. Ncell has collaborated with the ICT Award for the ‘Ncell Woman Icon ICT Award’.

To encourage women in the field of ICT and to appreciate the contribution they have made in this field, by the company’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policy, Ncell has been conferring this award since 2020. The award carries a purse of Rs. 300,000.

Continuing its collaboration in the annual ICT Award, Ncell has been presenting this award for the last three years. Last year, the Ncell Woman Icon ICT Award 2022 was conferred to Sheela Kansakar Karkee.  In 2021, the award was presented to Guna Keshari Pradhan. Similarly, in 2020 the award was conferred to Prof. Timila Yami Thapa.
