Ncell’s Special Offer To Students Under HISSAN Network For Online Class

Ncell Private Limited and Higher Institutions and Secondary Schools’ Association Nepal (HISSAN), a national level umbrella association of privately funded secondary schools, have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to use Ncell’s mobile connectivity for online teaching and learning activities.

To ensure easy and affordable access to mobile broadband for students, teachers, and schools for online classes, Ncell under this MoU is providing a special monthly offer to deliver required services at a subsidized rate. The offer is bundled with SIM, voice, data, and SMS service, among others.

In this special offer, students will get a SIM bundled with 20GB data for an online class(via Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams), every day 120 minutes talk time for the call within CUG numbers, 50 min on-net talk time, 1GB 3G/4G data, 2GB 4G data and 50 on-net SMS per month at Rs 250 excluding applicable taxes. Likewise, there is an option of a monthly plan that costs Rs 350, excluding applicable taxes.

Sharing the excitement about the collaboration with HISSAN, Pradeep Shrivastava, Chief Commercial Officer of Ncell said, “This pandemic has created a big challenge as well as introduced us to an opportunity to cope with new normal by best utilizing the connectivity and technology. We are delighted to collaborate with HISSAN to contribute to the online learning of thousands of students, the future of the country, to continue learning amidst the education sector being hit hard.”

This kind of collaboration with Ncell for facilitating the connectivity to ensure virtual classes will add great value to our students, teachers, and the entire educational sector. We are happy to enter into this collaboration with Ncell and move ahead”.

As per this MoU, students and teachers will be able to subscribe to this bundled service offer based on a recommendation letter of HISSAN to provide the offer to its member schools. The ownership of the SIM cards can be under the name of the institution or in the name of students as per their plan/choice/provision.
