The Nepal College of Information Technology (#NCIT) and Green Decision Labs (#GD_Labs) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (#MoU) to establish a collaborative framework aimed at advancing research and development in environmental and climate technology.

This strategic partnership will explore various research areas, focusing on prototyping and piloting innovative solutions to address pressing environmental challenges.

Collaborative Research and Development

Under this MoU, NCIT and GD Labs will engage in joint research projects within the environment and climate technology domain. The collaboration aims to facilitate student involvement in projects that align with GD Labs’ vision. GD Labs will share sensors, expertise, and other resources to support NCIT students in their research endeavors.

Empowering Future Innovators

GD Labs, a research and innovation lab dedicated to achieving urban sustainability in Nepal, will provide sensors to NCIT students and researchers. This partnership will enable students to work on real-world problems, enhance their learning experience, and contribute to sustainable urban development in Nepal.

About Green Decision Labs and Research

Green Decision Labs and Research, founded on November 17, 2019, is an idea innovation lab focused on promoting sustainable urban lifestyles.

The lab aims to leverage government and international funds to create self-sustaining enterprises that have a lasting impact on urban sustainability.

GD Labs operates as a venture-building company, working on themes such as air quality, waste management, mobility, and green cities.

The company was founded by passionate environmental engineers, alumni of Kathmandu University’s Environmental Engineering program, who are committed to making a positive impact in Nepal.

About Nepal College of Information Technology (NCIT)

Established in 2001, NCIT offers Bachelor’s and Master’s programs affiliated with Pokhara University, including BE, BBA, BCA, ME, MSc, and MCIS.

The engineering degrees are approved by the Nepal Engineering Council, and the college has produced over a thousand engineers since its inception. NCIT is renowned for its excellence in teaching and research, maintaining close and beneficial links with various sectors.
