Nepal Commerce Campus To Host The Hult Prize 2020/21

Nepal Commerce Campus will be hosting its first On-Campus Program for the Hult Prize in the first fortnight of December 2020. All the students studying bachelors and masters are encouraged to take part in the event.

“Bringing Hult Prize to NCC is our attempt not just to make students come up with a business plan but also make them realize that they can make an impact and change the world.” says the Campus Director, Ms. Prakriti Pokharel. Hult Prize, also known as “Nobel Prize for Students” will feature its OnCampus program in different colleges all around Nepal.

The theme for this year’s Hult Prize is “Food for Good- Transforming food into a vehicle for change”. The goal is to create jobs, stimulate economies, reimagine supply chains, and improve outcomes for 10,000,000 people by 2030.

The students of any college/university are eligible to take part in the OnCampus program with a team of 3-4 members. The winner of the OnCampus Program will qualify for the Regional Summits in the cities like Kuala Lumpur, Islamabad, Bangkok, etc. with the liberty to choose any city to represent. Similarly, the winner of each Regional Summit will move on to the summer business incubator with mentorship, advisory, and strategic planning to kick-start their social venture. The teams will eventually move on to the last round, and one winning team will receive 1,000,000 Million USD to execute their business plan.

Every year the theme changes to create an impact on the world. This year’s theme is intending to solve the world food crisis.
