This initiative aims to support both undergraduate and postgraduate students pursuing engineering degrees at the college.

At a press conference held on Thursday in Kathmandu, Jeevan Khatri, Chairman of the Nepal Engineering College Management Committee and Mayor of Changunarayan Municipality, revealed that the scholarships range from ₹15 million to ₹18 million annually. This financial support is designed to ensure that deserving students, regardless of their financial background, have the opportunity to pursue higher education in engineering.

Chairman Khatri emphasized the college’s commitment to providing accessible education. He noted that if students are unable to continue their studies due to financial constraints, Changunarayan Municipality will assist them in pursuing their education. He criticized the trend of students going abroad for education despite the availability of high-quality education within Nepal, asserting that the college produces graduates capable of competing globally.

In addition to the substantial scholarships provided by the college, Khatri highlighted the availability of various other scholarships, including local-level (ward and municipality) scholarships, provincial scholarships, and awards for college and semester top achievers. The college also benefits from land provided by the Changunarayan Municipality, which reduces operational costs and allows for greater financial support for students.

Principal Durga Prasad Bhandari pointed out that the college, established as an alternative to Pulchok Engineering College, offers competitive education with lower fees. The institution boasts a modern infrastructure, state-of-the-art labs, and a comprehensive curriculum designed to produce globally skilled professionals.

Currently, the college offers undergraduate programs in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication, and Architecture, as well as postgraduate programs in various engineering disciplines. The college continues to focus on delivering high-quality education and producing skilled engineers ready to meet global standards.
