Nepal Life Insurance Credits 5% Bonus Shares Directly to Demat Accounts

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has officially announced the distribution of its 5% bonus shares directly into the Demat accounts of eligible investors.

The announcement made in Kathmandu confirms that the company completed all registration procedures for the newly issued shares.
The bonus equity distribution represents the dividend decision finalized during the company’s 26th Annual General Meeting held on January 2, 2026. This payout relates to the financial performance and profit allocations from the fiscal year 2024/25.
Stock Exchange Listing and Trading Eligibility
The newly issued equity shares are now fully registered and officially listed with the Nepal Stock Exchange and CDS and Clearing Limited. The listing ensures that all credited shares are immediately eligible for secondary market trading.
Shareholders whose transactions were recorded on the stock exchange on or before January 20, 2026, have received their respective bonus shares directly in their central depository accounts.
Pledged Shares and Lien Information
Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited addressed specific guidelines for investors who used their original equity holdings as collateral for financial loans. For shares pledged on or before January 19, 2026, the newly credited bonus shares have automatically been placed under a lien in favor of the respective lending institutions.
Affected shareholders must clear their outstanding credit obligations with the respective loan providers to release the pledge on the bonus shares. Upon full settlement of loan accounts, lending institutions will initiate the process to clear the lien from the Demat accounts.
