Namkha Rural Municipality of Humla – Namkha said that the mobile service started after Nepal Telecom delivered a mobile tower in Limi, which is known as a village across the Himalayas.
According to Nepal Telecom, the general public is happy when the mobile service of Telecom in Til, Jang, and Halji villages of Limiya is operational.
Madhav Subedi of Humla says the common people of Limy who could only use Telecom’s Viasat telephones in Limi have now had access to mobile phones.
Subedi further states, “We are happy that our dream of talking on mobile phones has been fulfilled for years, we got it only after a long time due to the delay of the tower construction company.”
He said that even though Telecom signed an agreement with the construction company 5 years ago the tower was being built for 3 years, and it was only recently that he could receive calls from his mobile phone.
