The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) have entered into a strategic partnership for the 2024 Nepal Premier League (NPL), with NEPALPAY QR being the Official Umpire Partner.

This partnership aims to bring seamless digital payments to the cricketing event while supporting the growth of Nepali cricket.
The announcement of this collaboration was made by CAN Secretary Paras Khadka and NCHL Chief Executive Officer Nilesh Man Singh Pradhan at a formal ceremony today. NEPALPAY, which is Nepal’s own QR payment system, will facilitate payments at the NPL 2024 through its integrated platform.
The NPL 2024, Nepal’s premier cricket league, is set to kick off on 15th Mangsir, 2081, at the TU Cricket Ground. NCHL, a leader in national payment infrastructure, will officially join hands with the event through NEPALPAY QR, making digital payments accessible for fans, players, and officials. This collaboration is expected to drive the development of Nepali cricket and further strengthen its infrastructure.
NEPALPAY QR operates under the National Payment Switch framework, ensuring interoperability among merchant and network levels. With over 875,000 merchants and 40 mobile banking apps, as well as 11 wallet apps, the NEPALPAY QR system offers customers seamless payment options across Nepal.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for both NCHL and CAN as they join forces to promote and support the growth of cricket in Nepal. It is expected to contribute significantly to the development of the sport while enhancing the fan experience with secure and efficient digital payment solutions.
