Niriv, Nepal’s first locally developed search engine and digital platform, is set to transform Nepal’s digital landscape. Founded by visionary entrepreneur Yukesh Chaudhary on July 1, 2021, in Biratchowk, Province 1, Niriv was born during the COVID-19 pandemic to address the need for a centralized, user-focused online platform tailored specifically for Nepali audiences.

Nepal’s First Homegrown Search Engine

Niriv has since emerged as a gateway to the internet for thousands of Nepali users, offering essential tools and services on a single platform.

A Mission to Serve Nepali Users

Niriv’s mission is clear: to empower Nepali users with a localized search engine that brings relevant local content and information directly to them. “Niriv was founded with a vision to simplify the way Nepali people interact with the internet,” shared Chaudhary. “Our goal is to prioritize Nepali content, making it easier for users to find information, news, and local resources.”

Positioned as both a search engine and a media network, Niriv offers a comprehensive digital experience and plans further development to meet the evolving needs of Nepali users. Initially using APIs to provide search results, Niriv has ambitious plans to develop its web crawler tailored to Nepali sites, enhancing its localization capabilities.

Features for Today and Tomorrow

Niriv already offers an impressive lineup of features, with additional services in the pipeline to create a robust digital ecosystem:

Search Engine: Niriv’s primary offering provides fast, reliable search results with category-based filtering options (news, video, shopping), prioritizing Nepali sources for locally relevant content.
