As a premier hub for fostering technology and innovation among youth, Madan Bhandari Memorial College (MBMC) is all set to organize the 4th edition of its national hackathon, ‘MBMC IdeaX 2026’, from October 2 to October 4, 2026, at the college premises in Kathmandu. Centered on the core theme ‘Innovation for Impact’, this intense 48-hour competition challenges student teams to build tech-driven solutions tailored to Nepal’s unique challenges.
Key Highlights of the Event
Competitive Selection: Out of 160 teams that initially registered, rigorous online evaluations narrowed down the field to 20 top finalist teams.
Participant Scale: The showdown features 67 brilliant minds representing 28 different educational institutions.

According to MBMC Campus Chief Dr. Baburam Adhikari, “IdeaX is a platform designed to bridge the gap between classroom theories and real-world societal problems. What started as an initiative for preserving indigenous languages has now evolved into a prestigious national forum.”
Program Coordinator and BCA Coordinator Navaraj Joshi added, “Being selected out of 160 teams speaks volumes about the high caliber of this competition. Over these 48 hours, participants will experience problem identification, prototype building, and pitching under time constraints—skills that will immensely benefit their future professional journeys.”
