Nepal’s First International Reality Shows Calls for Audition in Kathmandu

Intra National Welfare and Support Foundation of America is all set to organize the Physical Auditions for the first Nepali International Singing and Dance reality show in Kathmandu on 18-19 March.

The venue for the audition is Navodit College situated at Samakhusi, Kapurdhara. Amid the grand announcement ceremony held at Naxal-based Marriot Hotel in Kathmandu, the foundation announced that people from all across the world can apply for the competition through Intra Foundation App.

Only People aged 18 and above can apply for the competition regardless of their nationality. President of the Foundation, Mr. Dilli Adhikari states, “We must work together for preserving our culture as our identity is embedded in our language, culture, and nature of helping those in need.

“Adding to it he says,” Foundation’s main aim is to bring musical revolution in Nepali entertainment industry.”

After the primary election, the foundation will conduct a physical audition in different parts of the world. Several renowned artists including Suresh Adhikari, Shiva Pariyar, Anju Panta, Sujata Varma, and Pushpan Pradhan will be judging the ‘Mero Voice Universe’. Whereas, judges for Mero Dance Universe will be Mithila Sharma, Dilip Rayamajhi, Shankar BC, Keki Adhikari, Priyanka Karki, and Nar man Rai.

Both of these shows will be directed by Aleen Shrestha, who has experience in directing several national and international reality shows such as Nepal Idol, Boogie Woogie, Nepal Lok Star, and Saregamapa Lil Champs.

According to the foundation, the winner of ‘Mero Dance Universe’ will get a cash prize worth NPR 1 crore. Similarly, the first and second runner-ups will get NPR 30 lakh and NPR 20 lakh, respectively. The winner of “My Dance Universe” will also receive a prize of NPR 1 crore. The first runner-up of this show will receive NPR 30 lakh and the second runner-up will receive NPR 20 lakh

This is the highest cash prize ever offered in any Nepali reality show to date. Besides Nepal, the foundation aims to allure massive participation from several countries with Nepali-speaking communities including Myanmar, Thailand, Bhutan, India, Australia, the United States, and Canada.

Participants are advised to carry a legal document stating their age on the day of the audition. Similarly, participants who have already registered for the digital audition are also the compulsion to attend the field audition happening on 18-19 March here in Kathmandu.

Similarly, the foundation is also hosting several sports tournaments among Nepali-speaking communities in the USA including Football, Cricket, Snooker, and Volleyball tournaments. Likewise, the foundation is actively working to uplift the lifestyle of Bhutanese Refugees living in different camps in Nepal.

Foundation has been providing aid in senior citizen allowance, education, drinking water, and sports.
