Nepal’s Green Energy Future: Huawei, CNI, & Stakeholders Discuss Solar & Storage

Huawei Digital Power Nepal, in collaboration with the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), organized a dialogue on solar photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage sustainability.

The event took place at the Huawei Exhibition Center in Hattisar, Kathmandu, bringing together over 80 key stakeholders from Nepal’s energy, business, and industrial sectors.
This program served as a platform to explore the potential of solar PV and energy storage solutions in transforming Nepal’s energy sector. It aimed to support the country’s transition toward a greener and more sustainable future. The Alternative Energy Promotion Center (AEPC) and the Energy Regulatory Commission also participated as key organizers, highlighting their commitment to Nepal’s industrial energy development.

Huawei Unveils New Energy Solutions
Huawei introduced its FusionSolar C&I Oasis Solution, featuring the 1C/150K and 215/108 kWh C&I Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
Jim Huang, CEO of Huawei Nepal, along with senior executives Lixiaowei and Nixiaopeng, led the official launch.
These advanced energy solutions are designed to help Nepali industries improve power reliability and reduce costs. Huawei also showcased its smart PV and ESS (Energy Storage System) solutions, which enhance safety and efficiency for commercial and industrial applications such as factories, shopping malls, and office buildings.
The technology aims to reduce carbon emissions and support Nepal’s transition to a cleaner, circular economy.

In his welcome speech, Jim Huang emphasized Nepal’s potential for energy transformation.
“Nepal has great opportunities to shape the future of energy. By working together, we can implement sustainable solutions, reduce carbon footprints, and build a smart green energy system,” he said.
Ashish Garg, Chairman of the Energy Development Council, stressed the importance of renewable energy in Nepal’s industrial sector.
“Nepal’s industrial growth depends on energy efficiency and sustainability. Decarbonization through solar energy and storage solutions will drive this transformation. These innovations will help industries grow while contributing to Nepal’s clean energy goals,” he stated.
He also highlighted how decarbonization is not just an environmental responsibility but a strategy for long-term competitiveness.
