Nepal has made a thrilling debut at the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes, stunning England with a powerful 6-wicket win, achieved with 10 balls to spare. Chasing a target of 98 runs, Nepal stormed to victory in just 4.2 overs, showcasing their strength in the six-a-side format.

Nepal’s Explosive Batting Performance

Leading Nepal’s charge, Captain Sandeep Jora was unstoppable, scoring 50 runs off just 12 balls, decorated with six sixes and four fours. Jora’s aggressive play set the tone for Nepal’s chase, as he effortlessly dominated England’s bowlers.

Lokesh Bam contributed a solid 20 runs in 11 balls, smashing two sixes and one four, while Rashid Khan added 21 runs off just five balls, hitting two sixes and two boundaries. The combined efforts of Nepal’s batsmen allowed them to reach England’s score with ease.

After batting first after losing the toss, England scored 97 runs in 5.5 overs. England captain Ravi Bopara showcased his experience, scoring 49 runs with one four and seven sixes in just 12 balls. Smith Patel added valuable runs, scoring 39 off 17 balls, which included three sixes and three boundaries. Despite their efforts, England’s total fell short against Nepal’s batting onslaught.

Nepal’s bowlers also played a crucial role, with Pratish GC leading by taking two key wickets. Narayan Joshi, Lokesh Bam, and Bibek Yadav each claimed one wicket, ensuring England could not build a stronger total.
