Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Amit Shrestha, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of ICFC Finance Ltd., as a Member of the Board of Directors of NCHL.
The decision was made during the board meeting held on 17th Bhadra 2080.
Mr. Shrestha’s appointment comes following the departure of Mr. Samaj Prakash Shrestha from Reliance Finance Ltd., who previously held the position. With over 21 years of extensive experience in commercial banks and finance companies, Mr. Amit Shrestha brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the NCHL Board.
NCHL, promoted by Nepal Rastra Bank in collaboration with various banks and financial institutions, plays a pivotal role in establishing and operating multiple national payment and settlement systems in Nepal.
The NCHL Board comprises representatives from Nepal Rastra Bank, three from commercial banks, one from development banks, one from finance companies, and an independent director.
This appointment reflects NCHL’s commitment to maintaining a diverse and skilled board to drive its mission of enhancing the efficiency and security of payment and settlement systems in Nepal.
