To strengthen trade, industry, tourism, and economic relations between Nepal and Japan, the “Nepal Nippon Chamber of Commerce and Industries” has been established.
Newly Established Nepal Nippon Chamber
Registered as a non-profit and social service-oriented organization, this chamber aims to promote collaboration and understanding among industrialists, traders, and business communities of Nepal and Japan. Additionally, it will collect data and information on trade, agriculture, industry, and tourism to contribute to the development of both nations.
The first annual general meeting was attended by the elected president, vice president, and board members. The chamber’s office was inaugurated by Mr. Tamura Takahiro, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Japanese Embassy.
This chamber will operate without distributing any profits, with all earnings allocated solely toward achieving its objectives. Nepali citizens aged 18 or above can become members of the chamber by paying a membership fee of NPR 10,000. However, memberships are non-transferable. By the Social Welfare Act 2049 and the Companies Act 2063, the organization will take the prior approval of the Social Welfare Council if it needs foreign financial, technical, and material support.
The registered office of the chamber is located in Ward No. 27 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Its funds will be generated through membership fees, grants, and other legal sources. Any amendments to its regulations will only be implemented based on special resolutions passed by the general meeting.
With the belief that this chamber will elevate Nepal-Japan relations to new heights, we call for everyone’s cooperation and support.
