NMB Bank Nepal is a commercial bank in Nepal with headquarters in Kathmandu. The bank is licensed by the central bank of Nepal, the Nepal Rastra Bank, and has 163 branches across the nation providing retail and commercial banking services.

The bank’s shares are publicly traded on the Nepal Stock Exchange. The Bank has a joint venture agreement with Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO) a Dutch development bank that holds 17% of the bank’s shares and is the largest shareholder of the Bank.

NMB Bank has launched a simple loan operation by Artificial Intelligence for the first time in the world of the banking sector.

NMB Bank has implemented the facility of taking loans online at any time. The bank has launched a loan service called ‘NMB Sapti 2.0’ operated by Artificial Intelligence.

Under this, the entire loan process from the application can be done through a digital system, the bank said. For the first time in the country, the NMB loan scheme has been refined to provide 24 hours and 7 days in a fully automated manner.

According to the bank, the loan can be obtained within five minutes of applying using the mobile.

The bank has stated that over a thousand service recipients have benefited from this scheme which can be obtained within 5 minutes of applying through the use of mobile.

The NMB loan is a short-term unsecured loan provided to meet the personal and emergency financial needs of customers using personal loans keeping in view the current environment, the bank said.

Customers with personal loans at NMB have a flexible period of up to 24 months. The bank has committed to providing loans up to Rs. 200,000 24 hours a day and 7 days immediately.

In this scheme, the customer can choose his loan repayment period, type of loan repayment, loan amount based on his convenience.

The number of customers taking the NMB loan service has reached over one thousand. The bank has so far disbursed more than 60 million loans under the scheme.
