NMB Bank Announces Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) Plan. NMB Bank has taken a significant stride towards fostering inclusive and equitable societies with the announcement of its Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) plan.

The strategic framework underscores the bank’s unwavering commitment to promoting diversity, empowering marginalized communities, and championing gender equity within the regions it serves.

The GESI plan outlines NMB Bank’s dedication to establishing a banking environment that is not only accessible but also inclusive and responsive to the diverse needs of its stakeholders, including employees, customers, and communities. With a vision to cultivate a culture of diversity and inclusion, NMB Bank aims to generate tangible business value while advocating for social progress.

Among the key objectives outlined in the GESI plan is the aim to attract, develop, and retain a diverse workforce, with a specific focus on fostering high-performing teams that mirror the diversity of society. As part of its Gender Equity and Social Inclusion initiatives, NMB Bank has implemented accessibility ramps in several branches across Maharajgunj, Thaiba, Naxal, Mahendra Chowk, Lubhu, and Birgunj.

Additionally, the bank has introduced the “Women Leadership” program nationwide, aimed at nurturing female leadership. To further support women entrepreneurs, NMB Bank offers special loans with tailored features and additional benefits. Notably, the bank has established women-led branches in each province of Nepal, reflecting its commitment to gender diversity and inclusion at all levels of operation.

Furthermore, NMB Bank has introduced province-centric products such as Sundar Sudurpaschim Bachat Khata, Karnali Bishesh Bachat Khata, Lumbini Bachat Khata, Mero Gandaki Bachat Khata, Apan NMB Bachat Khata, and Pathibhara Bachat Khata, designed to meet the unique financial needs of each province.

Currently, NMB Bank extends its services through 201 branches, 183 ATMs, and 11 extension counters, solidifying its position as a leading financial institution dedicated to promoting gender equity and social inclusion.
