NPL Growing Economically Stronger: Transactions Expected to Reach Up to 1.5 Billion NPR This Season

The Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 3 is set to generate a historic NPR 1.5 billion financial turnover. Discover prize details, match schedules, and tournament highlights.
The Nepal Premier League (NPL) is preparing to kick off its third edition with unprecedented commercial momentum. According to official projections by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the tournament is set to achieve a record-breaking economic turnover of NPR 1.5 billion (150 Crore).
Speaking at a pre-tournament press conference in Kathmandu, CAN Treasurer Padam Bahadur Khadka highlighted the rapidly expanding financial footprint of Nepal’s premier franchise T20 tournament.
CAN Projects Record Sponsorship & Revenue Figures
According to Khadka, CAN expects direct revenue of NPR 750 million (75 Crore) from sponsorships, gate ticket sales, and media/broadcasting rights.
The eight franchise teams are also expected to generate a matching amount through squad investments, commercial endorsements, and local marketing operations, bringing NPL 2026’s total economic footprint to an estimated NPR 1.5 billion.

Breakdown of NPL Season 3 Prize Money
To boost competitive intensity, CAN announced a significant upgrade to the prize purse for the top-performing teams:
