NTA Is Preparing Digital Kyc, Opens Vacancy For The Position Of Consultant

You can issue a sim card with National Identity Card.

The Nepal Telecom Authority (NTA) is preparing for digital KYC (Know Your Customer).

In this regard, NTA issued a notice on Wednesday, requesting a cover letter from an international consultant.

NTA has sought consultants for Digital KYC design, development, integration, implementation, operation, and support.

NTA states that with the implementation of digital KYC, the requirement to visit the telecom office with citizenship and a photo to issue a SIM card would be removed.

The online KYC system will eliminate the burden of filling out identical paperwork when issuing SIM cards.

After the implementation of digital KYC, having a national identity card will be sufficient to issue the sim card. The authorities will have access to the data of the telecom sector’s centralized digital KYC.

This information will be connected to the national identity card. After connecting to the national identity card, you will be able to obtain a SIM card from Telecom by presenting your national identity card.

Consultants interested in the position should send a Cover Letter by April 22. The letter of intent will be reviewed based on 40% merit, 50% experience, and 10% ability.

The minimum number to be passed in the letter of intent is 60.  Only those consultants who have been shortlisted will be requested to submit financial and technical proposals.
