NTC and Monty UK Global Limited have struck a deal: NTC to launch eSIM card service soon

Nepal Telecom, a government-owned company, will supply e-SIM. Telecom has agreed to deliver e-SIM shortly with Monty UK Global.

The deal was inked on Sunday by Sangeeta Pahadi, Telecom’s chief commercial officer, and Aditya Anand, CEO of Ultimate Horizon Technologies Pvt.

According to the terms of the agreement, Monty UK Global would offer the essential platform for Nepal Telecom subscribers to access e-SIM services.

Chief Business Officer Pahadi stated that Nepal Telecom would also give e-SIM as part of the process of adopting new technology and that the necessary work will begin shortly. Similarly, Aditya Anand, Chief Executive Officer of Ultimate Horizon Technologies, reaffirmed his commitment to complete the essential technological work for e-SIM for the organization on schedule.

What exactly is e-SIM?

E-SIM is a virtual or electronic SIM card. With the advent of e-SIM, there is no longer a need to physically utilize a SIM card as there is currently.

This necessitates the use of an e-SIM-capable phone. It may be used for a variety of tasks, including making calls and accessing data.

After utilizing e-SIM, there is no need to change the SIM card. Aside from mobile phones, e-SIM may be utilized on a variety of other devices such as smartwatches and wearable gadgets.

According to Telecom, all existing customers may utilize e-SIM, and new users can simply obtain e-SIM.
