Nepal Telecom introduces a CRBT (Caller Ring Back Tone) for the next municipal elections to its telecommunication services.

When subscribers call, they will hear the CRBT “Lau Na Hajur, Aayo Nirwachan” on their mobile phones.

The election-themed Caller Ring Back Tone will be accessible on the government-backed operator’s landline and mobile services beginning Wednesday, April 27.

Surya Prasad Aryal, Assistant Spokesperson and Deputy Secretary of the Electoral Commission stated that the CRBT would enhance election education.

It gives the election uniqueness. The addition of the CRBT is intended to improve voting procedures and encourage greater public engagement.

“It is mostly focused on the approaching local elections,” he continued.

The CRBT will only be audible on the Ntc network for the time being. On the other hand, the electoral commission is in negotiations to add the tone to Ncell and Smart Cell.

Users of other telecom networks, according to Aryal, would soon hear the same “Lau Na Hajur Aayo Nirwachan” CRBT on their network.
