OnePlus has always been about flagship-level specs at a reasonable price. With its quality of fast charging and high-speed, OnePlus is preferred the most in the smartphone market. With the increase in quality and specs, OnePlus has given us OnePlus 5, OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 7, and OnePlus 7T at a reasonable price than its competitors. But with an increase in quality, the smartphone has lost its credibility of low cost. And it seems like this year it is going to leap with its new product OnePlus 8.
What is the price of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro?
The company is planning for the OnePlus 8 Series Launch Event on April 14 at 11 AM EDT. As per a report by WinFuture, the costs of the OnePlus eight and OnePlus 8 Pro is set to start at EUR 719 and EUR 919, respectively. These prices are EUR 140 and EUR 160 more than its previous release OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro, respectively.

And the 12GB RAM and 256GB variant of the OnePlus 8 Pro will cost EUR 1009 (or EUR 1009).
What makes OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro expensive?
As mentioned earlier, with the increase in quality, the price of the smartphone has increased. When better camera quality and charging speeds were the reason for the increment of cost of the OnePlus seven series, this time it is different. 5G connectivity support, as well as the inclusion of the Qualcomm snapdragon 865SoC, are said to be the main reason for the rise in the price.
The main factor is probably the new processors from Qualcomm, whose prices have risen significantly compared to the previous chips. The license fees for 5G integration are probably the main cost driver.
