Dhulikhel Municipality has launched an online tax payment service to make it easier for the service recipients.

Mayor Ashok Vyanju stated that the online tax payment service has been launched to make the work of the service recipients faster and faster. “We have started an online tax payment service to end the queue for municipal services,” he said, adding, “I hope this will save the time of the service recipients.” For this, the municipality will connect its own fiber in all wards. Fiber connection has already been made in eight wards out of 12 wards of the municipality and work is underway in the remaining four wards.

Mayor Vyanju said that the service has been started by signing agreements with three companies Nepal Clearing House, E-sewa, and Khalti for tax payment service. Clients will be able to use those services online.

In order to use the service, the taxpayer has to be registered in the municipality and the details of the taxpayer have to be updated. The partner company has stated that some service charges will be charged for using the service.

According to the municipality, Dhulikhel has started an online tax payment service after Dharan. It is said to be the first municipality in Bagmati to provide such services.

The municipality will facilitate the use of the service as it is the first of its kind. The municipality has stated that tax exceptions will be given for using the service and the service recipients will be trained to use the service in all the wards.

Mayor Vyanju said that all the information about the number of industries, shops, and other things in the wards within the city will be available online.

Dhulikhel has already installed CCTV in the market area within the municipality and has set up a free Wi-Fi zone in Chokchok.
