Police arrested three people on charges of misuse of the software source code.
Among those arrested Bimal KC of Lamahi Municipality-5 of Dang, Shyam Bahadur Chaudhary of Mayadevi Municipality-5 of Rupandehi, and Shankar Gyawali of Kawasoti Municipality-7 east of Nawalparasi.
According to SSP Nabinda Aryal, a spokesperson for the police cyber office, they were found to have copied the source code of the program owned by a corporation called National Software and IT Solutions. And sold it to different organizations through Preface Technology Company.

Police said that the company’s operator had been arrested on Sunday. For taking action under the Electronic Transactions Act 2063 BS as Company had misused the source code and user interface.
The police have taken six days to prosecute them from Kathmandu District Court. While three of the company’s directors have been arrested, others may be attempting to escape, the police said.
