Institute of Forestry, Pokhara Campus: Ready to organize an On-campus Event for 2021/22
The Hult prize at the Institute of Forestry, Pokhara Campus is all set to kick-start their On-campus event. It invites sponsors and event partners for a fruitful collaboration. Hult Prize is an international movement recurring annually as a global whirlpool of change. This year-long competition, partnered with Hult international business school and the United Nations Foundation, crowdsources ideas from university students challenging them to solve pressing social issues.
The challenge this year is to create 2000 jobs by 2024 and combat the covid crisis by thinking global and acting locally under the theme ” Getting the world back to work”. The On-campus events are launched across the globe and the winners level up to the accelerators through regional summits. The teams then finally move to the global round where they will be pitching in UN headquarters in front of former U.S. President, Bill Clinton. The winning team receives $1 million US dollars as the seed money for their business idea.
This year’s On-Campus Event of Hult Prize at Institute of Forestry, Pokhara is led by Urusha Lamsal, the campus director. With the support of major local media houses and social media forums, the event seems lucrative for sponsors. The organizing committee is packed with zestful members all prepared to forge a successful hult year. The former On-Campus winner of Hultprize at Institute of Forestry, “Team Amrit” even made it to the top six of the Kathmandu Impact Summit.
