An unofficial Facebook page of Tribhuvan University reportedly has been hacked. The hacker(s) have uploaded pornographic content on the page’s story linking to a website (www.topsarkarinaukri.com).
The Facebook page has 55K+ likes and followers, which includes a wide range of audiences. Page transparency shows that the page was created on July 12, 2011. Since then, it has posted a few updates, notices, and news. The last post on the page dates back to March 9.
Page transparency also shows that the admins/users managing the page are from Pakistan, South Korea, and Nepal. Clearly, something is not right.
These stories have been uploaded on Thursday (today). However, judging by the reviews on the page, it isn’t the first time that the page has posted unusual content.
This is how students/ex-students/followers reacted to the page story. It is embarrassing for the followers and the reputation of Tribhuvan University (TU). The posting of pornographic content is not valid and against the guidelines of Facebook as well.
So, the question is who is going to take action on this matter and when.
