A one and half day first ever and historical PostgreSQL conference( May 4-5, 2018) concluded on May 5 in Kathmandu University.
Altogether 70 participants (both students and professionals) took part in the meeting. A total of 2 keynotes, 12 talks and two workshops ran in the seminar which was attended by the participants with great enthusiasm and interest. Four distinguished international delegates working in PostgreSQL for a long time addressed the conference with keynote speakers and talks.
The meeting concluded on a strong note that underdeveloping countries like Nepal have much to benefit from the robust and scalable open source database. The conference was organized by the faculties of Kathmandu University along with other organizations and companies believing in the enormous potentials of open source software and technologies to transform the nation.
