Purbanchal University Stopped AI Course After Students Didn’t Enroll

After the number of students decreased, Purbanchal University suspended the Bachelor of Technology in Artificial Intelligence (B.Tech in AI) course.

.Although the course has a capacity of 48 students per year, only four students enrolled, leading to the suspension of teaching the subject. The university had opened the course for the first time on Bhadra 5 last year, and after no students showed up, they repeatedly issued notices.

Naresh Shah, director of the School of Science and Technology, said that the students did not come to the university without knowing the importance of the course.

“Every year, the number of students in all educational programs is decreasing. The students have gone abroad,” he said. The government took the initiative to send students to indigenous universities. So you can do it. That’s how you have come. ”

Currently, those four students are studying Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) at the university. The university had planned to teach AI this year, so they are now studying BIT instead.
