Application Process and Required Qualifications

Rastriya Jeevan Beema initiated the CEO selection process by publishing a notice on Ashoj 16 (October 2, 2024). Nepali citizens were invited to apply, with specific educational qualifications and relevant professional experience required. Applicants had a 21-day window from the notice’s publication date to submit their applications.

Evaluation Criteria and Scoring System

Candidates were evaluated based on three key areas: their educational qualifications, professional experience, and business plans. To proceed, applicants needed to achieve at least 60% of the total 55 marks available. Those who met this threshold were invited to present their business plans and participate in interviews.

No Candidates Shortlisted

Unfortunately, none of the applicants met the required 60% score. As a result, no candidates were shortlisted to move on to the next phase of the selection process, which involved presenting their business plans and attending interviews.

Consequences for Rastriya Jeevan Beema Company

The company’s lack of suitable candidates for the CEO position has raised concerns. Given the industry’s highly competitive and regulated nature, Rastriya Jeevan Beema must find a capable leader to guide the company’s growth and strategic direction.

Next Steps for the Selection Process

The board and selection committee will review the situation. A new call for applications or an adjustment to the selection criteria to attract better-qualified candidates may be issued.

Challenges in Finding the Right Leader

This situation highlights the challenges faced by Rastriya Jeevan Beema in identifying the ideal leader for its future. The company’s leadership search continues, with further updates on the CEO selection process expected in the coming weeks.
