The World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) is set to honor extraordinary achievements in digital innovation and technology at the 2024 Global Innovation and Tech Excellence Awards. Scheduled from October 4–7, 2024, this prestigious event will coincide with the World Congress on Innovation and Technology (WCIT 2024).
WITSA, representing over 80 countries and economies, recognizes individuals, academic institutions, corporations, NGOs, and government entities for their exceptional use of digital technologies across various categories. The awards will highlight contributions that promote digital inclusion, smart city solutions, sustainable growth, innovative eHealth solutions, public/private partnerships, and more.
Dr. Sean Seah, Chairman of the 2024 WITSA Global Innovation and Tech Excellence Awards, stated, “These awards celebrate those who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with digital technologies and making a significant impact on society. Award Categories Include:
- The Digital Opportunity/Inclusion Award: recognizes efforts to provide digital opportunities to underserved populations, including those in developing regions and individuals with disabilities.
- Smart Cities Award: Honors outstanding smart city solutions in both private and public sectors, improving urban life through ICT.
- Sustainable Growth/Circular Economy Award: Acknowledges initiatives promoting sustainability and circular economy practices in the digital age.
- Innovative eHealth Solutions Award: Celebrates the use of ICT in healthcare to enhance public health, telehealth, and combat COVID-19.
- Public/Private Partnership Award: Highlights successful collaborations between government and private sector in implementing public ICT infrastructure.
- E-Education & Learning Award: Awards innovative electronic learning projects that support digital literacy and lifelong learning.
- Emerging Digital Solutions Award: Recognizes new and scalable digital solutions transforming global well-being and prosperity.
- The AI Excellence Award: honors companies leading in artificial intelligence innovation.
- The Best Tech Place to Work Award: celebrates companies fostering a thriving and supportive technology workforce.
- The Women in Tech Award: recognizes exceptional contributions by women in the technology sector.
A special Chairman’s Award will be presented to an outstanding nominee selected from all categories, highlighting a unique and impactful contribution to the digital world.
