Xiaomi, the global technology leader, announced two new smartphones on Monday.  The two new smartphones under the Redmi series are Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A.

The phone has a 12MP dual camera set up along with memory extendable to 512 GB. Both the phones have a 6.22-inch dot notch HD Plus display panel protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is powered by a5000 mAh battery.

Xiaomi, for the first time in this segment, has introduced a Type-C USB fast charging support for both smartphones alongside a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 Octa-Core chipset.

Redmi 8

The Redmi 8 has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. At the rear side of the Redmi 8 is an AI dual camera setup with a 12 MP primary sensor and a dedicated 2 MP depth sensor.

The Redmi 8 has an 8 MP camera with a variety of portrait selfie capturable AI portrait modes. Redmi 8 has been finished with a beautiful aura mirror. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the rear side for convenience and the device also supports AI Face Unlock.

Redmi 8A

Redmi 8A supports the 2 Plus 1 Dual SIM set and has a Dedicated Micro SD Card slot. The most important upgrade of the Redmi 8A is the front camera. It has a 12 MP Sony IMAX 363 sensor.

Redmi 8A has an8 MP selfie camera on the front, and the AI ​​portrait mode shot can be taken from both front and rear cameras.

Available in Sunset Red, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Block color variants, the Redmi 8A 2 GB+32 GB is priced at Rs. 11,999 and the 3 GB + 32 GB variant is priced at Rs. 12,999.

Likewise, the price of the 4 GB + 64 GB variant Redmi 8 is Rs. 14,900. It is available in Onyx Black, Ruby Red, and Sapphire Blue Color.
