Redmi 9 Prime was launched on 3 August worldwide. In Nepal, Xiaomi has recently launched the Prime series phone following Redmi 9 which was launched earlier in September in Nepal.

This new Redmi phone is a new contender in the budget smartphone segments. In a really long time, we haven’t seen the ‘Prime’ branding on a Redmi smartphone, but now Xiaomi has brought it back with the Redmi 9 Prime. This phone is priced below the Redmi Note 9 series.

Design & Display

Redmi 9 Prime Phone Display

The Redmi 9 Prime is a budget phone, thus features a plastic build. But it is also good somehow considering that the mobile device can take a beating without having a cracked back glass. It consists of a textured finish that has been added to the back to make it feel a bit premium while holding.

Talking about its physical feature has 163.3 x 77 x 9.1 mm dimension and weighs 198g. The display size is 6.53 inches and is made up of strong Gorilla Glass 3. For quality, it has 1080 x 2340 pixels along with 395 PPI densities.

This budget Redmi phone runs on gaming-focused processor MediatekHelio G80 (12 nm) and operates on Android 10 with MIUI 12. For the CPU, it has an Octa-core processor which is supported by Mali-G52 MC2 Graphics.

This phone is available in two storage variants 32GB storage with 3GB RAM and 64 GB storage with 4GB RAM.

Redmi 9 Prime is a good phone if you are looking to perform light multi-tasking and performing daily tasks. Such as calling, web surfing, using social media handles, casual gaming, and more. As it has a gaming processor gaming on the device is very good considering it is a budget phone.

At the back, it has an 8 MP wide camera with f/2.0 and can shoot videos with 1080p at a 30fps rate.
