Nepal has welcomed the arrival of 15-seater and 16-seater EV vans under the RZM brand, manufactured by China’s renowned Shangchi RZM Auto.

These electric vans have been introduced to the Nepali market through a collaboration between National Motors and Rathi Trading.
Official Launch and Partnership
The official announcement was made at a special event attended by Sanjay Kumar Agrawal, Managing Director of National Motors; Dinesh Kumar Rathi, Managing Director of Rathi Trading; and Ken Sun, International General Manager of Shangchi RZM Auto. The event also featured Manoj Khatriwada, CEO of RZM Auto Nepal, who discussed the reasons for introducing the RZM brand and its features. Additionally, Manoj Bikram Shah, Executive Director of National Motors, highlighted the company’s history with SML Isuzu and the expansion with the RZM brand.
As part of the event, keys were handed over to the first batch of customers.

Charging and Performance
Both models support 60 kW fast charging, enabling a full charge in just 45 minutes. A test drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara demonstrated that the van retained 51% battery after reaching the destination. With a high ground clearance (E5: 200mm, R5: 180mm+), these luxury electric vans are well-suited for Nepal’s roads and long journeys.

RZM Auto Nepal has customized the seat layout and structure to suit Nepal’s road conditions. The company ensures thorough testing and modifications before launching these EVs in the market.

RZM vehicles are exported to 23 countries and assembled in five countries. The company operates two plants in Jiangsu, China, and is a 100% government-owned entity, listed on the Chinese stock exchange since 2016.
