Samsung announced and released Samsung Galaxy A8 smartphone on August 2015 that comes up with an Android OS v5.1 Lollipop upgradable to v5.1.1. This phone supports GSM /HPSA/ LTE network configurations.

The colors available are Pearl White, Midnight Black, and Champagne Gold. The main disadvantages are that the battery is not user-replaceable, No IR port, no enhanced resistance to liquids or dust, no stereo speakers and no Samsung Pay.
