Samsung announced new Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 tablet on July 2015 and released it on September 2015. This tablet comes up with an Android OS v5.0.2 lollipop. This tablet supports GSM / CDMA / LTE network configurations. This tablet has a dimension of 98.6 x 134.8 x 5.6 mm (7.82 x 5.31 x 0.22 in) and weighs about 265 g for Wi-Fi model and 272 g (LTE) model.
It uses a nano-SIM card. The display is of 16M colors and has Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreens. The screen size is 8 inches, and the screen-to-body ratio is 74.0%. The screen resolution is 1536 x 2048 pixels which are precisely 320 PPI pixel density and comes with scratch resistant Gorilla Corning Glass 3 protection. The frame is metal with curved edges and a glass front, and there is a smooth matte finish.
It supports multitouch and has got Apple A8 chipset while the CPU comprises of Quad-core 1.9 GHz & quad-core 1.3 GHz. The GPU used is Exynos 5433. The internal memory available is 32 and 64 GB, and it contains 3GB RAM. It includes an external SD slot that could be upgraded up to 128 GB.
The audio format supported are MP3, M4A, 3GA, AAC, OGG, OGA, WAV, WMA, AMR, AWB, FLAC, MID, MIDI, XMF, MXMF, IMY, RTTTL, RTX, and OTA. The primary camera comprises of an 8 MP, autofocus while the secondary camera is 2.1 MP camera. Similarly, the features of the primary camera include 4x Digital optical zoom mode.
