Santosh Narayan Shrestha, Chairman of the Securities Board, has made changes to the leadership of the board. These changes involve reassignment of responsibilities for several key executive directors, aiming to improve the board’s efficiency and operations.

Securities Board Executive Director Reshuffle

Mukti Shrestha Remains in Regulation Department

Executive Director Mukti Shrestha will stay in his current role, continuing to lead the Regulation Department. His responsibilities remain unchanged, and he will continue to manage regulatory matters.

Dr. Nabaraj Adhikari Assigned to Policy Research and Training

Dr. Navaraj Adhikari has been reassigned to the Policy Research and Training Department. He was previously in charge of the Management and Law Department. In his new role, he will focus on policy research and training programs, using his experience in management and law to support strategic goals.

Binayadev Acharya Takes Over Management and Law

Binayadev Acharya has been moved to lead the Management and Law Department. He was previously in the Supervision Department. In his new position, he will handle legal and compliance matters, bringing his experience from supervision to strengthen the department’s operations.

Krishna Raj Pokharel Appointed to Supervision Department

Krishna Raj Pokharel has been assigned to lead the Supervision Department. He was previously with the Policy Research and Training Department. This move is expected to strengthen the board’s supervisory functions.

Reason for the Reshuffle

Chairman Shrestha implemented these changes to better align the board’s leadership with its strategic goals. The reshuffle is aimed at improving the board’s effectiveness in overseeing the securities market and ensuring smoother operations.

The changes were made on Friday, under the direct oversight of Chairman Shrestha.
