Shangrila Development Bank Celebrates 21st Anniversary, Pledges Enhanced Service and Expansion

Shangrila Development Bank (SDBL) marked its 21st anniversary today, reaffirming its commitment to service expansion and sustainable growth in Nepal’s financial sector.

On the occasion of the 21st anniversary, Mr. Suyog Shrestha, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shangrila Development Bank, extended warm wishes to all shareholders, the Board of Directors, employees, and valued customers.

Focus on Service Enhancement and Expansion

CEO Shrestha outlined the bank’s strategic focus for the coming years, centered on scaling up its operations and delivering even better customer service.

“We are committed to expanding our services in the days ahead to provide a superior banking experience,” Shrestha stated.

He also took the opportunity to express profound thanks to the bank’s foundational pillars, recognizing their crucial role in the institution’s success.

“The contribution of our Board of Directors, the continuous guidance from the management committee, and the dedication of our employees have been invaluable. Without their collective efforts, achieving this milestone would not have been possible. I extend my special thanks to them.”

Strong Foundation for Future Growth

The CEO highlighted the bank’s robust presence and potential for further development. The bank has successfully expanded its network to 109 branches across Nepal.

“We currently operate from 109 branches with a dedicated team of approximately 850 employees. This foundation, which includes over 500 founding shareholders, around 24,000 general shareholders, and countless customers and service recipients, provides us with a strong base to move forward,” he elaborated.

Looking ahead, Mr. Shrestha expressed confidence in the bank’s trajectory: “In the coming days, we aim to provide an even more robust and higher quality of service. We will actively expand our business to ensure excellent returns for our stakeholders.”
